French Baroque and Impressionism—two stylistic periods that at first glance may not seem to have much in common. But if we look more closely, we see that there are surprisingly many parallels—in the way music conveys meaning, evokes atmosphere, and tells stories. During this recital, Jesse Wienke will connect these periods on piano and harpsichord, highlighting their similarities.
