'Reflejos' (Reflections) explores the connection between historical traditions and contemporary creations. In his dual role as performer and composer, Erney F. Acosta traces the development of the piano étude from Chopin and Debussy, through the mystical and refined styles of Scriabin and Dutilleux, to Ligeti. Ultimately, his journey concludes with his own highly innovative piano études using extended techniques.
