Marieke Renkema

Marieke Renkema (2000) graduated in 2023 with a grade of 9 from the Prins Claus Conservatory in Groningen, where she studied under Egbert Jan Louwerse. She began taking flute lessons at the age of 10.

Marieke has performed in various ensembles and orchestras, including the Ricciotti Ensemble, Mozaïek Wind Quintet, JongNBEnoord, the Dutch Student Orchestra, and several project-based orchestras.

In 2019, she participated in the Dutch National Championship for wind soloists, where she won first prize in the 1st division with 99 points.

For her graduation concert, she composed an original work in collaboration with a fourth-year student from the Minerva Art Academy. In this project, she incorporated self-created soundscapes, animations, and live music performance.
