Katie Morgan

Katie graduated from the Yehudi Menuhin School in 2018, where she studied with Marcel Baudet. She is currently studying at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Frank Peters, while also pursuing Psychology at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. She has participated in competitions across Europe. In 2011, she was awarded second prize in Category B (12–16) at the Pianist of the North Competition. In 2014, she received a Mention of Honour at the International Piano Competition in Enschede, Holland. In 2016, she was awarded the Diplôme de Jeune Espoir at the 10th Adilia Alieva Competition held in Annemasse, France. In 2019, she won first prize at the Amsterdam Regional Finals of the Princess Christina Concours in the Netherlands.

Katie has also performed at festivals such as the Wimbledon Festival and has appeared in duo performances at Wigmore Hall. Her orchestral performances include Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor with the Dorking Chamber Orchestra in 2016, and in 2017 with the Mihail Jora Philharmonic Orchestra in Bacau, Romania, as well as a performance in Cantu, Italy. Katie is a member of Trio Pantoum, alongside SongHa Choi (violin) and Maxim Calver (cello). In 2018, the trio won first prize at the Intercollegiate Piano Trio Society Competition held at Birmingham Conservatoire. In February, they toured the Netherlands, performing at venues including Akoesticum and the Conservatorium in Amsterdam, and also appeared on Dutch radio Spiegelzaal.

She has recently appeared on Podium Witteman as part of the Jonge Helden.
