Iteke Wijbenga

Iteke Wijbenga is a violist who is very active in chamber music, as a soloist, and in (chamber) orchestras. She has collaborated with renowned musicians such as pianist Severin von Eckardstein, violinist Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet), and double bassist Rick Stotijn.

Wijbenga has performed at various chamber music festivals both in the Netherlands and abroad, including the Grachtenfestival Amsterdam, Peter de Grote Festival, Harmos Festival (Portugal), the International Chamber Music Festival Schiermonnikoog, Romsey Chamber Music Festival (UK), and Festival Wonderfeel. Additionally, she has performed with various ensembles in venues such as the Concertgebouw and the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ.

Furthermore, Wijbenga is the founder and artistic director of the Kamermuziekfestival Groningen, which held its first editions in 2022.
