Fee Suzanne de Ruiter

Fee Suzanne de Ruiter (1997) graduated cum laude from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she studied with voice teacher Sasja Hunnego. Shortly thereafter, she made her debut as Cherubino at the Berlin Opera Academy in Italy. In July 2023, she completed her Master’s degree in Opera at the Theaterakademie August Everding at the Prinzregententheater in Munich, where she studied with voice teacher Daniela Sindram.

Following her debut in the main hall of the Prinzregententheater with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester in Christian Jost’s opera Rote Laterne, she went on to perform the title role of Medea in Francesco Cavalli’s Il Giasone.

In December 2022, Fee Suzanne performed a surrealist work by Francis Poulenc (Le Bal Masqué), filled with absurdist imagery and disjointed, Dadaist associations. Especially for the Internationaal Kamermuziek Festival Utrecht, SALIX chamber opera transformed this secular cantata into an opera production.

In the summer of 2019, Fee Suzanne sang her first role at De Nationale Opera, in Pierre Audi’s monumental festival aus LICHT. She performed the role of Muschi in the scene “EVAs LIED” from the opera MONTAG.

In addition to the operatic repertoire, Fee Suzanne also specializes in art song. Together with her duo partner Gulmira Issabekova, she performs concerts both in the Netherlands and abroad, including appearances at the Grachtenfestival, the Young Virtuosi Festival in Ljubljana, O. Festival, the Weekend van de Romantische Muziek, the Vondelpark Openluchttheater, and various exhibitions in Dutch museums.
