Alice Andreani

Alice Andreani (b. 1998) is an Italian cellist. After studying at the Conservatory of Bergamo, she moved to Groningen to continue her education and later completed a Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, studying with Michel Strauss and Jan-Ype Nota. She has taken part in numerous music festivals, competitions, and masterclasses, continually seeking opportunities to refine her skills and learn from renowned mentors. In 2021, she was awarded the Andrea Elkenbracht Prize by the municipality of Groningen.
During the 2021/2022 season, she held an internship with the Noord Nederlands Orkest.
Alice is also active in the contemporary music scene. She is a member of Ensemble Sketch 351, currently Makers in Residence for the festival Dag in de Branding for the2024–2026 seasons. Her musical interests extend beyond performance. Passionate about teaching, she currently teaches at The Residents, the educational program of the Residentie Orkest.
