Sara Pinaque

Sara Pinaque (2000) began taking piano lessons at the age of seven in Santiago de Compostela. She completed her Bachelor's degree at the Conservatori Superior del Liceu in Barcelona in 2021, studying under Josep Colom and Tensy Krismant. During her final year, she was awarded one of the prestigious scholarships granted by the Ferrer Salat Foundation. She earned her Master of Arts in Music Performance in 2023 at the Hochschule für Musik Basel in Switzerland, and this year she began her second Master’s in Music Pedagogy with Tobias Schabenberger at the same conservatory.

She has attended masterclasses with renowned pianists and pedagogues such as Claudio Martínez Mehner, Antonio Di Cristofano, Dimitri Bashkirov, Stephen Kovacevich, Elza Kolodin, Marta Zabaleta, Ronald Brautigam, and Sergio Azzolini.

Sara has been a prizewinner in both national and international competitions. She has won first prizes at the Alto Minho International Competition, the 'Esteban Sánchez' International Competition in Cáceres, and the 4th International Competition of the City of Seville ‘Julio García Casas’. In 2023, she received the special award from the International Music Academy 'Manuel de Falla' at the 25th Ibiza International Piano Competition. As a soloist, she has performed with the Banda Municipal de Santiago de Compostela, the orchestra of the CMUS of Santiago, and the Youth Orchestra of León. She has had the opportunity to give recitals in Spain, Switzerland, and Italy.
