Remon Holsbergen

Remon studied piano with Frank van de Laar at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem and with Marcel Baudet at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He then continued his studies with Elza Kolodin at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg, Germany, where he obtained his Master’s Degree in 2013. In 2011, Remon was awarded the ‘Cultuurfonds Scholarship’ by the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds to support his studies in Freiburg.

Remon regularly took part in international masterclasses given by renowned piano pedagogues such as Naum Grubert, Robert Levin, Dmitri Alexeev, and Pascal Devoyon. He also received prizes at various piano competitions (Princess Christina Competition 2006 – 2nd prize; Foundation for Young Musical Talent Netherlands 2006 – 2nd prize; Vught Klassiek 2012 – 1st prize; Coffee at the Piano 2013 – 2nd prize).

From 2014 to 2016, Remon was a member of the Young Piano Masters (YPM), an initiative by baritone Ronald Willemsen and pianist Geoffrey Madge. YPM supports young pianists who hold a master’s degree in building their careers.

From 2018 to 2021, Remon taught Piano as a Secondary Subject at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam.
