Leo van Doeselaar is musician with a large repertoire as an organ player, pianist, harpsichord player and fortie pianist. Besides his professorship at the Universität der Künste in Berlijn Leo has performed on numerous concerts in The Netherlands and abroad.
He started his organ and piano studies with Gerard Akkerhuis in The Hague and studied at the Amsterdam Sweelinck Conservatorium (organ) with Albert de Klerk and (piano) with Jan Wijn. Besides both his solo diplomas he got the de Prix d'Excellence orgel in 1979. One year later he was awarded the Toonkunst Jubileum Prize and in 1981 he won the "Zilveren Vriendenkrans" of the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
Leo van Doeselaar is invited to perform concerts on festivals in all of Europe and the United States. Besides that he made many recordings. In 2007 he was awarded the Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinckprize in 2007 for his tribute to the organ culture.
Together with Wyneke Jordans he forms a piano duo ensemble.
